The FDI walking stick Soft Step is in full compliance with NF 1985
A loading force of 250 newtons is applied 825 000 times via a dummy arm to the fully-extended crutch.
The Soft Step is placed 24 hours at -25 °C in the aim of weakening the structure.
Within 30 seconds of being removed from the cold environment, the walking stick undergoes a series of falls which must not reveal any cracks or fractures.
